In the frame of Valle de Las Leñas’ permanent contingencies prevention program, VLL and its licensees have decided to reinforce the maintenance and hygiene measures in the public spaces (shopping area, restaurants, tourist information centers, sky school). In order to reinforce and strengthen preventive control against the swine flu, new measures have been added to the regular VLL security, hygiene and cleaning standards. As an immediate measure all public areas are cleaned and disinfected with bactericidal products and in all toilette dispensers soap has been replaced by a bactericide gel which grants a deeper disinfection and cleaning of hands.

In addition, VLL has come to an agreement with the concessionaires running the transfers of tourists from San Rafael Airport to Valle de Las Leñas to reinforce prevention measures. Transfer drivers must use gel alcohol frequently and disinfect the vehicles after every trip.

VLL resort boasts a medical infrastructure for the ambulatory assistance of patients, a medical center assisting during the 24 hours, providing clinic, paediatric and traumatologist health care. It also has 3 ambulances, 2 of which feature the most high standard technology for serious cases care with a 24/7 availability within the Valley’s premises.

When necessary, the person will be isolated in his/her room together with His/her party. The guest service staff will assist the patient in order to meet his/her needs and doctors will provide him/her the needed health care until he/she is transferred to a medical center in Malargüe or in San Rafael. Then, the place and all the elements used by the tourist will be disinfected.
